Greetings from Sunny Florida!
We hope you enjoy the web site! Be sure to check out Grace's Place and Will's World!
Hi Everyone!
I apologize for not getting the website updated more recently. Shame on Diane!!! I will try to be much better about getting updates out on a more regular basis and quit sitting around and eating bon-bons! (If you believe that last part, then I've got a great bridge to sell you also!)
Seriously, I'm ashamed that it's been almost 4 months since the last update. I will strive for more frequent updates.
We're all doing fine. Will is currently battling an ear infection and two nasty eye teeth that have decided they want to have a race on which can break through the gums first. Will was also ill about 6 weeks ago with his very first ear infection, bronchitis and mild asthma, so we've been gaining great experience on how to keep a toddler happy while getting breathing treatments on a nebulizer periodically. Will is walking and climbing up a storm now. He climbs on, in, and out of everything one can imagine....toilets, coffee tables, high chairs, cabinets, couches, people...he's very non-discriminatory. I spend the better part of my day taking him off of things or away from things he's about to climb on, much to his dissatisfaction (he is very congenial most of the time but has a serious temper!) Will is extremely strong, weighs about 27 pounds, and wears a 5 1/2 shoe. Grace is 28 pounds and wears a size 6 shoe...she's still taller than him at this moment.
Grace is doing great. She's writing her name and all the letters of the alphabet now. Loves to email her grandparents and type the words as I spell them to her. She's very interested in letters, words, and reading. She's just getting ready to start a dance class and is very excited about wearing that leotard and ballet slippers to dance to music. She is Miss Independent and wants to pour her own drinks, help with the cooking and cleaning, and serve food to us. She is very particular....She definitely has everything worked out in her mind and expects it to go that way, if it doesn't, you hear about it. We're still working on understanding that Grace's way isn't always the way it's going to be.
We had to push our trip to N.C. up a couple of weeks as John's grandfather passed away. While the circumstances were sad, it was very nice to see John's family again.
In case you haven't heard already, we're also in the midst of remodelling our master bathroom. We were going to fix what we thought was a small leak in our shower stall only to discover that it had beena large leak going on for many years. John has been doing an awesome job and the drywall is up and ready to be taped and mudded. We're anxious to get our bedroom back!
I recently became a consultant for Creative Memories and am having a great time with that! It kind of combines my love of teaching and scrapbooking, so I'm enjoying it more than I ever anticipated. I'm still teaching Mommy and Me classes as well and Will is getting to the age now where he is enjoying that also!
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Welcome to the Bohlen Family's site!
Our family pictures were taken in June 2002. We all wore our Purdue clothing for a fun picture.
Diane and Will take a dip in the pool. Grace and Diane at John's birthday dinner at the Outback! Grace calls it the "Kangaroo Restaurant."
John and Will are all smiles at the Outback. Grace and John snuggle up on the couch. The beginning of the bathroom remodelling.
The studs surrounding the shower were all rusted through and not touching the foundation from years of leaking. The middle picture is kind of a before picture of our bathroom. The right hand picture is with the separating walls completely down.
Diane enjoyed pulling up the tile. Here is the bathroom completely gutted.
The Bohlen Clan in N.C. John's brother, Brian, his wife Michelle, with us at a pumpkin patch in Atlanta.
Grace and John carve pumpkins! Here we are on Halloween. Grace was Minnie Mouse, Will was Mickey Mouse,
John was Pluto and I was Figaro (Minnie Mouse's cat).
